Malani forest rest house - In details
Malani forest rest house is situated deep inside the Corbett Tiger reserve. In other words, it is about 20 KMs from the entry gate of Bijrani zone. This zone of Corbett is close to Ramnagar area and it just takes about 10 minutes to reach Bijrani zone entry gate from Ramnagar railway station as well as bus stand. However, to reach Malani lodge area it will take approximately 1 hour to reach from there. Similarly, it also gives you a fun of almost half of the safari adventure as a bonus while going to the forest house.
Accommodation option at Malani forest rest house
Malani lodge has 2 rooms in total and extra bed facility is available as per request. Both the rooms are having attached bath room facility and a dining area is common for both rooms. Hot water facility is also available and electricity here is provided in the evening time as it depends on the solar power.
In conclusion, one should not expect luxury here but the peace and wilderness.
There is no kitchen facility available here and you will have to bring raw material including spices. In addition, a chef will be there for cooking the food or you can also self-cook accordingly. Forest department has covered the Malani lodge area by fence from all the sides and animals are too common to pay a visit around the compound.
When should you book and opening/closing period.
For booking it is suggestible to book 30 to 45 days before of the arrival date as these forest houses are always in high demand due to its location.
Night stay facility at both Bijrani and Malani lodge remains closed from 15th June to 14th November every year.
Safari starts half an hour before here than the guests who are staying at private resort. Therefore, it gives people staying at Malani more chance of spotting the wildlife.
Note– TV Facility is not available inside the rest house. Similarly, phone networks might not work properly inside the campus area.
One should always carry an extra battery or power bank to recharge camera & phone batteries. Electricity will be available inside the campus from Sunset to morning.
Day wise program and pricing
Day 1- The Jeep driver will pick you up from Ramanagar or any resort on Dhikuli area and drive you inside the jungle to reach Malani Forest rest house. At the gate your I’d proof will be checked and after reaching the FRH, they will provide you with your room. Enjoy lunch at restaurant and at 1:30 PM get ready for Jungle safari which will last for 3 hours. Post safari get back to your rooms and enjoy evening at leisure. Dinner and night stay.
Day 2. Get up at 6:00 AM for Jungle safari and enjoy the jungle during Sunrise and post completion get back to rooms, get fresh and after breakfast check out. Our driver will drop you at Ramnagar or any hotel in Dhikuli area.

Day 3. Get up at 6:00 AM for Jungle safari and enjoy the jungle during Sunrise and post completion get back to rooms, get fresh and after breakfast check out. Our driver will drop you at Ramnagar or any hotel in Dhikuli area.
